This is the progressive photo tale of how 300 gingerbread ornaments came to life!We were asked to custom design and paint 150 ornaments, to be used as wedding favours for a 2007 Christmas wedding.
We came up with this cute couple ornament. She will have a real lace veil, he will feature a black ribbon bow tie and the couple's name will be hand painted inside the heart. The ornament will hang from a festive red ribbon.
This is what the 300+ ornaments look like at the moment. Step one is always so overwhelming!We plan to make extras to sell at Serendipity-Crafts.com; some to be decorated as wedding couples, some not.
Production has begun. The ornaments are basecoated and Elizabeth applies the "splatter".
